Columbia, MD – The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College (HCC) will hold a work session and regular meeting on Thursday, December 13, 2012, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in room 401 of The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF-401). A closed session will follow to discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction and to consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto, as permitted under Sections 10-508(a)(1) 10-508 (a3), respectively, of the Maryland Annotated Code.
Citizens who wish to present any matter of concern pertaining to the community college shall make written request to the secretary-treasurer of the board at least 72 hours prior to the regularly scheduled public meeting, in order that the matter may be included on the agenda for the meeting. In emergency situations, the board may, by a majority vote, give visitors who have not presented a written request in advance an opportunity to present their concerns to the board in any regular public meeting. The board, in recognition of the need to complete its business within reasonable time, reserves the right to terminate a presentation of this nature.

A continental breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9 a.m. followed by a workshop that will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $45 and continuing education credits will be available.
