
October 31, 2012 Columbia, Maryland — The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship awarded Howard Community College (HCC) President Dr. Kate Hetherington the Entrepreneurial President Award during its annual conference in Chicago, Illinois, from October 7 to 10, 2012. The award recognizes Dr. Hetherington’s substantial efforts to support entrepreneurship education at HCC and foster a community that embraces entrepreneurial thinking. Now in its 10th year, the NACCE is comprised of educators, entrepreneurs, and business development professionals, and provides programs and services in entrepreneurship education while serving as an advocate in community-based entrepreneurship. Its annual conference brings together community college presidents, educators, administrators, policy-makers, strategic partners, and entrepreneurs to discuss strategy, curricula, marketing, technology, administration and more as it pertains to the world of entrepreneurship education.
