(Columbia, MD) – The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College (HCC) will hold a work session, regular meeting, and closed session on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in room 400 of The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF-400). The work session begins at 6 p.m. and will be immediately followed by the regular meeting. After the regular meeting, a closed session will be held to discuss a matter directly related to a negotiation strategy or the contents of a bid or proposal, if public discussion or disclosure would adversely impact the ability of the public body to participate in the competitive bidding or proposal process as permitted under Section 10-508(a)(14) of the Maryland Annotated Code.
Citizens who wish to present any matter of concern pertaining to the community college shall make written request to the secretary-treasurer of the board at least 72 hours prior to the regularly scheduled public meeting, in order that the matter may be included on the agenda for the meeting. In emergency situations, the board may, by a majority vote, give visitors who have not presented a written request in advance an opportunity to present their concerns to the board in any regular public meeting. The board, in recognition of the need to complete its business within reasonable time, reserves the right to terminate a presentation of this nature.
