
January 12, 2012 AC is seeking approximately 16 to 18 actors for spring production of Tony Award-winning musical (Columbia, MD) - Howard Community College’s (HCC) Arts Collective (AC) is seeking actors of all levels of experience, ages 16 and up, for their May production of the Tony Award-winning musical, “Urinetown.” Auditions will take place in HCC’s Smith Theatre on Sunday, February 12 from 7 to 10 p.m.; Monday, February 13 from 6 to 9 p.m.; and Tuesday, February 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. All those considering auditioning are highly encouraged to sign up for a 90-minute audition slot and read all the recommended audition materials on AC’s website (www.howardcc.edu/artscollective). Performers will be required to read a brief scene from the script, as well as sing 16 bars of a song from one Broadway musical. An audition information session will be held on February 1 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in HCC’s Smith Theatre. Rehearsals are to begin after February 22. Performances run from May 3 through 13.
