(Columbia, Maryland) – Howard Community College’s (HCC) Student Arts Collective (AC) is proud to announce its 15th season! Moving from a one-evening event 15 years ago, AC, supported by HCC, has become an organization celebrated for its artistic bravery and unique learning environment. This season, AC is honored to join forces with HCC's Instructional Theatre Program, proudly showcasing the stellar work of HCC students, alumni, faculty, staff and professional guest artists! The 2009-10 season lineup offers thought-provoking, inspiring and eclectic events and showcases, including:

This Tony Award-winning musical is about 17 Broadway gypsies giving everything they've got for the chance of a lifetime - to be chosen for the chorus line in a new Broadway musical.

“Last Train to Nibroc,” Actors Studio Performance

This year’s Actors Studio Performance is co-presented by AC and HCC’s Instructional Theatre Department. Join us for an intimate evening in the tradition of last year’s acclaimed performance of “Last Train to Nibroc.”

Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebration is a free magical outdoor adventure with stage combat, soliloquy, sonnet and scene performances by HCC students, faculty, staff and surprise guests.

“Angels in America” is a Tony award-winning, Pulitzer Prize Broadway play with a stunning grip on ideas around politics, sex and religion. Playwright Tony Kushner subtitled his play ''A Gay Fantasia on National Themes.’’
