Both daytime and evening sessions available for Fall New Student Orientation

(Columbia, MD) – New Student Orientation sessions for Howard Community College (HCC) are scheduled for August 18 and August 20, 2008.  An evening orientation session is scheduled for Monday, August 18 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., and a daytime orientation session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  First time students to HCC are encouraged and expected to attend. Parents are also invited to attend a special parent program during both orientation sessions.

Both sessions feature refreshments, information packets, and planned activities, including interactive workshops, campus tours, and prizes.  At the evening session, appetizers will be offered starting at 5:15 p.m., and dessert will follow the session.  A continental breakfast will be served at the daytime session starting at 8:15 a.m., and the college will provide lunch.  Following the daytime session, students can stay to participate in HCC ThinkFast, an interactive game show that offers the chance to win up to $200.
