(Columbia, MD) – The Howard Community College (HCC) Music Department invites the public to experience the intimate, acoustically-engineered John G. Monteabaro Recital Hall in the Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center with several performances in April, 2008.

Unless otherwise noted, general admission is $15, seniors $10, and $5 for students with ID.  HCC's Horowitz Center is located on campus at 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, Maryland 21044.

HCC voice faculty Judith Cavendish will collaborate with piano faculty Bill Murphy in this concert.  They will perform songs by Beach, Carpenter, Rorem, Larsen, Malotte, Bolcom and more.

HCC Faculty Concert – In Partnership with HCPSS
Kristina Suter, HCC faculty member, joins Michael Bevard, HCPSS Faculty Member, in a collaborative concert of classical and popular works for tenor and piano.  Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe and works by J. S. Bach, G. F. Handel, Henri Duparc, Giacomo Puccini and Roger Quilter will be performed as well as songs from the Broadway stage by various composers.

HCC Faculty Concert – Gemini Piano Trio
For the past fourteen years, The Gemini Piano Trio have been thrilling audiences across America and around the world with their virtuoso technique, rich tone, and dedicated artistry.  For this concert, they will play a beloved trio by Brahms, a deliciously colorful trio by Leclair, and an excitingly eclectic work by American composer, George Rochberg.  Pianist Hsiu Hui Wang, violinist Sheng-Tsung Wang and cellist Benjamin Myers are members of the Gemini Piano Trio and are members of the HCC music faculty.
