Rep Stage, Michael Stebbins Featured in Fifth Edition of “How to be a Working Actor”January 24, 2008
“Bible of the Biz” profiles Producing Artistic Director Stebbins(Columbia, MD) – Rep Stage, the professional theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), and Michael Stebbins, producing artistic director, have been featured in the newest edition of “How to be a Working Actor,” the unofficial “bible of the biz,” now in its fifth edition. Stebbins is profiled in the chapter “Finding a Vehicle to Showcase Your Talent,” where he shares some of his experiences in theatre and offers insight into running a diverse and successful theatre company. Rep Stage’s many achievements and awards are also highlighted in the chapter.
“Most young actors starting out will grab this book right off the shelf,” said Stebbins. “It shows how doors are opened to actors and artists alike, and provides an overview of resources and opportunities that are available in the Big Apple as well as around the country.
