HCC Students to Meet Their Scholarship Donors at November 9 LuncheonOctober 11, 2006
Students to share how private funding helps them achieve dreams
(Columbia, MD) – The Howard Community College (HCC) Development Office and Student Services Office will host a luncheon on Thursday, November 9, 2006 for donors and the students whom they are supporting with scholarship funds.
The luncheon, which begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Kittleman Room of the English, Language, Business building (ELB-100), gives donors the opportunity to see firsthand the results of their contributions, and affords the students a chance to meet their benefactors in person.
Welcoming remarks will be provided by Dr. Patrick Huddie, chair of the HCC Board of Trustees, and Dr. Kate Hetherington, HCC Executive Vice President.
HCC students scheduled to speak about their experiences include:
- Jonah Cohen, a member of the James A. Rouse Scholars program, received the Jim and Patty Rouse Charitable Foundation Scholarship.
- Angelique C. Graham, a recipient of the HCC Trustees' Endowment Fund.
- Mario Rodriguez, a member of the Silas Craft Collegians program, received scholarships from the Silas Craft Collegians Endowment and the Columbia Classic Grand Prix.
