Upcoming performances in the new Monteabaro Recital Hall include David Wasser's classical piano, The Old Line Saxophone Quartet's American songbook, and jazz from Kyle Coughlin and Todd Butler
(Columbia, MD) – The Howard Community College (HCC) Music Department invites the public to experience the intimate, acoustically-engineered John G. Monteabaro Recital Hall in the new Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center with several performances by HCC music faculty members and guest artists in November 2006.

Sunday, November 5 at 4 p.m., an HCC Spotlight Concert features David Wasser, pianist, performing Beethoven's "Sonata Op. 79," "Chopin's Sonata in B minor Op.58," "Liebestraume," "Consolation in Db," and "Mephisto Waltz" by Liszt, and the Sousa-Horowitz "Stars and Stripes Forever." Free admission.
Friday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m., a Kyle Coughlin Jazz Concert features the HCC faculty clarinetist and saxophonist playing a selection of jazz standards and compositions from his CDs, "When Afternoons Return" and "In the Shadow of Palms."
Sunday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m., The Old Line Saxophone Quartet with HCC music faculty member Dave Rybczynski performs music from the American Songbook as well as music of Phil Woods, David Liebman, and others.
Thursday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m., a Todd Butler Jazz Recital features the HCC faculty trumpeter performing original compositions by his Baltimore-based jazz quintet The Todd Butler Group.
