HCC Hosts Financial Workshop on Understanding Your CreditOctober 11, 2006
Students, staff, and community invited to free workshop
(Columbia, MD) –Howard Community College (HCC) is hosting an "Understanding Your Credit" free workshop on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 on the college campus. Two forty-five minute sessions will be presented by Noreen Leary from State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in the Burrill Galleria. The workshop covers topics including how to interpret a credit score, how to obtain and maintain good credit, and the impact credit can have on present and future purchasing power. Each session is followed by a limited number of individual consultations.
Those wishing to participate in consultations must bring a credit report (available from www.annualcreditreport.com) and must sign up in advance, as space is limited. Community members can register for both the workshop and a 10-minute consultation by calling The Office of Student Life at HCC at 410-772-4896, or emailing studentlife@howardcc.edu.
This workshop is co-sponsored by HCC's Business and Computer Systems Division, Office of Student Life, Kaiser Permanente Wellness Center, and the Business Club.
