 | Hong Moon Destination: International hotel management Path: HCC’s Hospitality & Culinary Management program Food Preparation. That’s hospitality & culinary management major Hong Moon’s favorite class. “It’s a once a week, five hour class with only 30 minutes of lecture; I love it,” says Hong. “Each week we break into groups, are given a meal to cook, and then let loose for the next few hours.” This sort of creative freedom is why Hong loves the program, where coursework covers everything from business management basics to culinary skills. “You get a really well rounded experience,” says Hong. “I’ve learned a lot about the industry and have been provided with a great stepping stone to getting my bachelor’s degree.” And Hong plans on using that degree as a passport to hotel management anywhere in the world. |
