 | P.J. Mitchell Destination: Acting career Path: HCC’s Silas Craft Collegians program P.J. Mitchell loves Disney movies. “When I was younger, I was obsessed in every way possible with Disney,” he says. “I love The Lion King and The Emperor’s New Groove.” So what better place for him to work than at the “happiest place on earth”? P.J. will spend his next HCC semester in Disney World’s Internship Program. He hopes to parlay his Disney internship and HCC’s theatre program experience into an acting career. So far he has appeared in Student Alumni Art’s “OurSpace” dance performance and worked behind-the-scenes in the production of “The Crucible”. A leading role in P.J.’s college success has been as a member of HCC’s Silas Craft Collegians program, designed for students whose past academic performance may not reflect their true potential. “Silas Craft helped me improve my study habits and taught me how to relax when it came to testing,” P.J. says. “It’s also great because you develop a community of friends through the program and get to meet a lot of different, interesting people.” |
