Adult Basic Skills

Welcome!

Do you need a high school diploma or want to improve your basic skills for the workplace or personal use?  You can improve your skills with experienced, highly-qualified instructors.  Classes are free or reasonably priced.

The noncredit Adult Basic Skills Program at Howard Community College offers:

  • reading, writing, and math classes at many levels;
  • two diploma options: GED and External Diploma Program;
  • preparation for the Howard Community College credit math placement test;
  • a distance learning option;
  • skill evaluation at registration and at the conclusion of classes.
