The Welcome and Information Center operates the campus switchboard and also has campus counter service locations.  The center provides students with general information regarding college programs, services and course information, office hours and locations, and directions to and within the campus.  It also provides students with quick access to their academic schedules, notary services, voter registration forms, and various campus publications such as the catalog, schedule of classes, student handbook, and campus maps.  The online campus calendar and campus display monitors are maintained by the Welcome and Information Center.  The online campus calendar includes the college’s numerous academic, athletic, cultural, and social events and activities.

Parking

All visitors should park in designated visitor parking spaces only.  Vehicles parked in designated faculty/staff parking areas will be ticketed.  Vehicles improperly parked in handicapped spaces, reserved parking spaces, fire lanes, and no parking areas will be issued a parking citation and towed.  View HCC's parking regulations.

To obtain a parking pass, please bring the following information with you to the Security Office located in the first floor of the Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF):

  • A copy of your current class schedule
  • A valid photo ID (driver's license, student ID, or other form of picture ID)
  • Your vehicle information, including tag number and vehicle description

Voter Registration

Students may obtain voter registration forms at the Welcome and Information Centers.  View online Howard County voter information.

Notary Services

Current students are eligible to have their school-related documents notarized free of charge.  To take advantage of this service, students must present a valid photo ID and proof of enrollment at Howard Community College.  Faculty and staff are also eligible for free notary services, provided they also show a valid photo ID and proof of employment at Howard Community College.
