Stage Management Opportunities - AC's 14th Season

Stage Managers Needed:
Howard Community College's eclectic, thriving, critically acclaimed production company, the Student ARTS COLLECTIVE, is currently hiring experienced, non-union Stage Managers for its upcoming 14th Season. (Details Below)!
  
AC's 08-09 Season will include full-scale productions, dance concerts, open mic's and more, inside HCC's new state-of-the-art Horowitz Center & around campus!

General Qualifications:

Candidates are experienced, positive, and responsible folks who enjoy working in a professional, artistically challenging environment where students come first!

  • Experience preferred (a minimum of 2 years).  Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
  • Experience working in a collaborative, artistic, and fun environment.
  • Works effectively within a diverse artistic population.
  • Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills, including follow-through.
  • Possesses working email account and phone; easy access to a computer.
  • Possesses flexible, open schedule; able to attend Production Meetings and Tech Week Rehearsals.
  • Ability to exhibit pleasant manner when dealing with staff, students, professionals, etc.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures specific to the theatre.
  • Required: Transportation/ Valid Driver's License.

S.M. Specific Qualifications:

  • Possesses strong leadership and people skills.
  • Possess excellent computer skills, MS Office, email, excel, calendar/ scheduling programs, etc.
  • Experience in managing large numbers of performers, Production Assistants, Assistant Stage Managers, etc.
  • Experience in generating rehearsal/ performance reports, cue sheets - experience in calling shows, etc.

Salary:  Based on experience.
