"BEST BET" in the
WASHINGTON POST!

Directed by S. G. Kramer

A crucible is a vessel in which metals are scorched
to the point of melt down... then purified.

THE CRUCIBLE, the play, envelopes a community ignited... burning with dangerous accusations of witchcraft, hysteria and retribution.

THE CRUCIBLE takes us to the small town
of Salem Massachusetts, 1692... and beyond
... exploring the struggle of one man,
his conscience, and his eventual purification.

THE CRUCIBLE is fictional, but based
heavily on historical truth... and many, many lies.

A revolutionary work written in the 1950's,
was Miller's vessel, speaking directly to
McCarthyism - that same decade!

SAARTS' approach to this play's timeless,
still relevant politial and human significance
is woven together by ethereal design concepts
in haunting original music composition,
organic costumes, and authentic images...
