AUDITION APPOINTMENT OPTION #1: (Preferred) Schedule your appointment in advance - via email only! Auditionees will be scheduled by groups in half hour increments.
- Email your full name, primary phone number/s and top date/ time choices (per half-hour) to: ARTSCOLLECTIVE@HOWARDCC.EDU - Please do not email your headshot and resume to Arts Collective; bring them with you to the audition. - Appointment confirmation via email will follow in 48 hours. - Sign up early; audition slots are limited!
AUDITION APPOINTMENT OPTION #2: Stop by the night of the audition... Folks are welcome to audition without an appointment, however, those who wish to be considered must arrive prepared (per AC's Audition Details), as well as be prepared to wait. We will do our best to fit you in. Signing up in advance is recommended.

- OPEN AUDITONS: All are invited! Current and past HCC students and guest artists!
- CAST INFO: Approximately 12 to 16 performers (ages 18 and up). All roles are non-paid, however, each performer cast will receive two complimentary tickets to the show!
- BASIC AUDITION CRITERIA: Two 16-bar contrasting pieces from a Broadway Musical - up tempo and/or a ballad (be prepared to sing your entire song/s). Duets and trios are encouraged, however, two auditions per auditioner please. * Auditioners must provide sheet music (no sheet music, no audition) * Piece(s) must be memorized * Minimal choreography welcome, but not necessary * 16 bars per song required, however auditionees must be prepared to sing selections from start to finish/in their entirety during the audition.
- REHEARSALS: * One rehearsal is required the week of April 8 * One full company run on Thursday, April 11 (evening)
- 2 SHOWS: FRIDAY, APRIL 12 & SATURDAY, APRIL 13 at 8pm in HCC's Horowitz Center's Studio Theatre.

About the Director: Grace Anastasiadis Grace Anastasiadis is very excited to be directing this season’s A Cabaret. Recent directorial credits include Arsenic and Old Lace for Stillpointe Theatre Initiative and A Passion for Broadway (last season’s Cabaret co-directed with Jenny Male) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Arts Collective. She works for the Arts Collective as their Associate Artistic and Managing Director, and as an adjunct theatre faculty member for Howard Community College, both of which she greatly enjoys! Grace holds a BA in theatre performance from the University of MD and an AA in theatre performance from HCC.
About the Music Director: Stacey Antoine Stacey is thrilled to work with HCC's Arts Collective following HCC's and Columbia's Silhouette Stages partnered production of Rent. Recent credits include Hello Dolly! (Spotlighter's); Rocky Horror and Reefer Madness (Baltimore Theatre Project); Hairspray and Urinetown (Patapsco HS); and Jesus Christ Superstar. Stacey received a BA degree in music and minor in theatre from Towson University. |
