Click here! - If printing is not possible: 1). Prior to your Audition, pick up a copy in AC's Office (HVPA 126, M-F, 11am-6pm). Complete it in advance; bring it with you! 2). Forms will also be available at each audition; bring your datebook (school, work, personal calendars) with you; we need a very clear idea of your availability! If you choose this option, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your audition! - IMPORTANT: All fields included on AC’s Audition Form must be complete (and legible) prior to your audition. | AUDITION SIGN-UP OPTIONS: OPTION #1: PREFERRED: Sign-up to audition in advance -- ONLINE! THEME: Under consideration, however many dance styles will be included.
THE COMPANY: AC's Dance Company will consist of approximately 12 dancers, ages 16 and up!
OPEN AUDITIONS: - All current and past HCC Students are eligible to audition (ages 16 and up). - Auditioners need not be a Dance Major; however, students must be enrolled in at least one dance class during 2012's spring semester, to ensure fitness and stamina.
AUDITION CRITERIA - BASIC INFO: - Auditions will consist of a few phrases of movement (contemporary/modern, etc.). - FOR BEST CONSIDERATION: 1. Bring a 1 page resume, listing experience/training... and a recent photo/headshot. 2. Arrive dressed in your professional best. No jewelry. Bring all dance shoes. 3. Arrive prepared and ready to WORK! Register, Warm-Up no later than 5:30pm. 4. Dancers cast must be willing to register for HCC's Dance 206 (practium) during the winter session. - CALLBACKS: May be scheduled the evening of 10/30. "Save the date."

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR: Renée Brozic Barger is HCC’s coordinator of Dance, and has been performing, teaching and making dances in the Baltimore/DC Metro Area for over fifteen years. She is a founding director of movement/addiction, a dance-based multi-media performance company. class="contentsmall"She holds her BA in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and her MFA in Dance from George Mason University. Most recently, she has taught, choreographed and performed internationally in the US, Canada, India and the UK. She has been called “aristocratic and elegant” by the Oxford Times, and “brilliantly angular” and “fragile and powerful” by the Oxfringe Review. Recent collaborations of an improvisational nature have been with the Basso Moderno Duo and Timothy Nohe. In addition to performance-related projects, Renée has been increasingly focusing on arts advocacy work within Maryland as a member of Maryland Citizens of the Arts Emerging Arts Advocates, a group that endeavors to educate the next generation of Maryland arts advocates, and to provide advocacy training, professional development, and leadership opportunities to young advocates in the arts area.
