ServicesMCRC provides an array of programs and services for the Howard County community.
Community Mediation: A face-to-face meeting between disputants with the assistance of a trained volunteer mediator who is neutral and impartial. The mediator helps guide the parties to reach an agreement that is both mutually fair and reasonable.
Restorative Dialogue (RD): A face-to-face meeting between the victim and the person or persons considered to be the offender(s) and their support persons with the assistance of a trained volunteer mediator who is neutral and impartial. The RD process provides the opportunity for each participant to describe how s/he experienced the offense (both facts and feelings), to recognize and acknowledge the injustice/violation, to work toward restoring equity (i.e., restitution), and to discuss the future intentions in order to reduce the likelihood of the offense recurring.
