On this edition of Reel Talk with Christopher Llewellyn Reed, Chris welcomes Baltimore Magazine managing editor and WBAL-TV movie critic Max Weiss. They review two films based on real events that focus on the resilience of the indomitable human spirit. Selma, about the 1965 Civil Rights march in Alabama, led by the Reverend Martin Luther King; and Unbroken, based on the best-selling non-fiction book of the same title, by Laura Hillenbrand, about how one man survived unspeakable horrors during World War II, yet survived with his will … unbroken. They also discuss the films they think were the best of 2014, and make some Oscar predictions.
Reel Talk with Christopher Llewellyn Reed airs Wednesdays at 11:30am, 4:30pm & 7:30pm, Saturdays at 8:30pm and Sundays at 3pm.
