Program Director: Howard "Jojo" Sheltraw
Born and raised in the blue collar city of Saginaw, Michigan, Jojo inherited his Irish parents gift of gab. This caused immediate problems as he spent most of school years being chastised for talking too much. He found his calling at college when he became involved in student radio at Central Michigan University.
Professionally, Jojo has over thirty years of experience as a radio personality. It all started at the small town AM station WATC in Gaylord MI, where he read obituaries, played "Radio Bingo" and hosted the weekend Polka Show.
From there he became an international broadcaster, strangely as an undocumented worker in reverse, working at XHRM-FM in Tijuana, Mexico. The station was a pioneer in the freestyle dance music movement, and became a favorite station for young adults across the border in San Diego, CA.
Next, it was a stop back in his home state of Michigan, hosting a morning show at WSNX in Grand Rapids, before landing at Mix 1065 in Baltimore, where he woke up the city for over 18 years with his laid back humor, prank phone calls and rapport with callers.
