Come join us for the second of three vocal Master Classes for this summer’s Little Patuxent Opera Institute. Internationally renowned Tenor, Gran Wilson, will conduct a master class with five of this summer’s singers. HCC piano faculty member, Dr. Hsien-Ann Meng will provide the accompaniment for the LPOI participants. The class will be held in the Monteabaro Recital Hall on Thursday, July 16th from 2-5pm. Please come and support our budding operatic talent as they work with a seasoned professional. The audience is free to come and go as their time allows!

Internationally renowned Soprano and Pedagogue, Ruth Drucker, will conduct a master class with all of this summer’s singers. HCC piano faculty member, Dr. Wei-Der Huang will provide the accompaniment for the LPOI participants. The class will be held in the Monteabaro Recital Hall on Thursday, July 23rd from 2-5pm. Little Patuxent Opera Institute is pleased to Present
An Evening of Operatic Music!

Little Patuxent Opera Institute will present its students in three workshop performances entitled "Plottings, Pleasures and Pleas...Oh My!” The first half of the program includes a potpourri of operatic scenes, while the second half will be devoted to Puccini's beautiful and heart rending Suor Angelica. We are excited that guest artists from the former Baltimore Opera Company will join the LPOI singers by appearing in featured and small roles. The inclusion of professional singers in the production is a wonderful educational opportunity for our younger LPOI artists. While most scenes will be performed in their original language, the opera will be performed in English.
Performances are being held in the newly renovated Smith Theatre in the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Building on the Campus of Howard Community College on Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st at 7:30pm, as well as Sunday, August 2nd at 3pm.
