Unemployment Insurance Procedure (63.07.17)College Policy Number/Title:
In compliance with Maryland law, the college contributes to the Maryland unemployment insurance program at no cost to the employee. If employees should become unemployed after working at the college, they may apply to the State Unemployment Commission to see whether they are eligible for unemployment benefits. If the State Unemployment Commission determines that a former employee is eligible for unemployment compensation, the employee then receives the appropriate compensation as specified by law.
