Credit Union Procedure (63.07.01)College Policy Number/Title:
All full- and part-time, position control/budgeted employees of Howard Community College are eligible to join the State Employees Credit Union (SECU). Adjunct faculty, temporary employees or other non-position control/budgeted employees may also join SECU; however, automatic payroll deductions are available only for position control/budgeted employees. A nominal share purchase guarantees you lifetime membership even if you leave the college. SECU offers savings accounts, individual retirement accounts and share draft accounts which are similar to regular bank checking accounts. Both loan payments and savings remittances may be made by payroll deduction. SECU enrollment and transaction materials are available in the office of human resources.
