College Policy Number/Title:

In compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and amendments, all employees hired or re-hired by Howard Community College on or after November 7, 1986 are required to provide proof of work eligibility and identification and complete the employee portion of the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization Service's (INS) I-9 form on or before the first day of employment. Supervisors and department heads are accountable for making sure that this process is complete before an employee begins work.  Proof of work eligibility may be established by presentation of the appropriate documents as determined by the INS.  Documentation forms are available in the office of human resources.

Work permits from the student’s board of education are required for persons under 18 years of age.
